MUSIC : KLA PROJECT BEST COLLECTION

Berawal pada tahun 1988, di daerah Tebet- Jakarta Selatan, sekelompok anak muda ini mengawali eksistensi di blantika musik Indonesia. mereka adalah Katon, Lilo, Adi dan Ari. Lebih dari satu Dekade mereka berkreasi dalam menciptakan lirik dan melodi yang telah melahirkan nuansa baru dalam peta musik pop Indonesia. KLa Project lebih dikenal dengan sebuah grup musik inovatif yang tak lepas dari suguhan lirik dan untaian kata-kata puitis yang sarat dengan makna. Warna musik KLa Project yang dituangkan dalam sebuah lagu selalu memiliki hidangan kuat untuk lebih dicerna. Kekuatan lirik lagu-lagu KLa memang tidak terasa dengan sekali teguk. Akan terasa kuat apabila kita mendengar karya mereka berulang-ulang.

Nama dan Logo KLa - huruf 'K', 'L' ditulis dengan huruf kapital dan 'a' dengan huruf kecil, mengandung arti inisial panggilan dari anggota personil grup ini. K = Katon (Katon Bagaskara), L = Lilo (Romulo Radjadin), dan a = Adi (Adi Adrian). Pada 'a' dengan huruf yang kecil karena dalam sejarah Ari Burhani (Ari) pernah bergabung dalam grup ini. PROJECT sendiri mempunyai arti bahwa grup ini terbuka untuk vokalis, musisi lain dan programmer yang mendukung garapan KLa Project sendiri. Secara keseluruhan Logo KLa PROJECT dilatari dengan trapesium.

Sampai saat ini mereka hanya bertiga yang masih bermain musik. Dalam konser mereka banyak dukungan baik dari musisi dalam dan musisi luar negeri. Lagu dan Album - Lagu yang dibawakan oleh kelompok musik KLa Project ini bertemakan tentang cinta, lingkungan sekitar, dan kecintaan terhadap tanah air. Bisa dilihat dalam lagunya yang berjudul, Yogyakarta, Tak Bisa ke Lain Hati, Pasir Putih dan Hingga memutih tulang. Bila kita jeli, pemilihan judul untuk setiap lagu pun selalu mereka prioritaskan. Sehingga tak heran apabila kata-kata yang mereka ungkapkan terasa lebih dekat dan tidak jarang malah menambah khasanah perbendaharaan bahasa Indonesia. KLa telah berhasil memasukkan unsur sastra ke dalam musik pop Indonesia. Begitu pula dalam bermusik, sering kali telinga kita dikenalkan dengan alunan nada dan irama yang mewakilkan simbol suasana hati.

NEWS : Will.I.Am Pentolan Black Eyed Peas Jadi Direktur Intel

Intel Corp mengambil langkah mengejutkan dalam merekrut pegawai. Raksasa produsen chip dunia itu menggaet pentolan Black Eyed Peas, Will.I.Am, sebagai Director of Creative Innovation.  

"Saya telah menjadi Director of Creative Innovation Intel. Dan setiap nada yang saya alunkan telah dibuat oleh Intel, sekarang kami partner," tulis Will.I.Am dalam akun Twitternya.

Jelas, digandengnya Will oleh Intel ini cukup membuat sejumlah pihak terkejut. Pasalnya, penyanyi berkulit hitam itu selama ini identik dengan dunia gemerlap layaknya selebritis papan atas.

Pun demikian, Intel memiliki penilaian berbeda terhadap Will. Menurut Intel, didapuknya Will sebagai salah satu direktur tersebut karena ia memiliki hasrat yang tidak pernah surut terhadap teknologi.

"Bekerja sama dengan para ahli, peneliti dan programer di Intel sekaligus mengembangkan serta menciptakan cara baru berkomunikasi yang bisa menghibur tentu akan menjadi sesuatu yang menakjubkan," tukas Will.

Intel mengatakan, Will akan berkolaborasi dengan pihaknya dalam sejumlah pengembangan tipe produk untuk keperluan perangkat smartphone, tablet PC dan laptop..

GAME : Keluar Pakem, Call of Juarez Tempur di Era Modern

Game Firts Person Shooter (FPS) Call of Juarez terkenal dengan khasnya menampilkan pertempuran seru di era para koboi, namun melalui seri terbarunya Ubisoft mengubah game tersebut dengan menghadirkan petualangan di era modern.

"Call of Juarez: The Cartel, adalah sebuah game shooter penuh aksi dengan cerita yang kuat, karakter yang menarik dan berbagai macam pilihan permainan," ujar Adam Novickas, Ubisoft Marketing Director.

The Cartel memang berbeda dari dua seri sebelumnya, game ini akan membawa pemain ke pertempuran bergaya modern dengan berpetualang ke kota-kota masa kini seperti, Los Angeles, California, atau pun Meksiko.

"Permainan ini akan membawa unsur-unsur terbaik dari Wild West ke dalam masa modern dengan alur cerita linier dan relevan," tambah Novickas.

The Cartel rencanya bakal dirilis pada penghujung 2011 untuk Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 dan PC. Namun sayangnya, hingga saat ini belum ada bocoran lebih lanjut mengenai game tersebut.

MOVIES : TOMORROW, WHEN THE WAR BEGAN

SINOPSIS :

Country high school student Ellie (Caitlin Stasey) sets off on a camping trip with close childhood friend Corrie (Rachel Hurd-Wood), together with Corrie's boyfriend Kevin, Ellie's next-door neighbour Homer, love interest Lee and friends Robyn and Fi. After driving Ellie's parents' Land Rover into the mountains, they hike down into a remote valley known as "Hell".

During their first night camping, Ellie wakes to a sky full of military aircraft. Upon arriving back town, the group finds their homes abandoned, with power, internet and telephone lines down. From the hill overlooking Robyn's house, the group sees that the only lights on in town are at the hospital and the showground. Upon reaching the showground, they find that the citizens of the town being are being detained. Ellie witnesses a man being executed with a shot to the head, and in her horror retreats too quickly, being spotted by a searchlight. They flee but are pursued by soldiers into the backyard of a house. Ellie, using Kevin's singlet, lighter and the fuel tank of a ride-on lawn mower, create an explosion that eliminates the squad.

On return to Corrie's house, they find that Lee and Robyn are missing. Ellie and Corrie witness an Australian Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet get shot down by 3 Chengdu J-10 jets. Whilst the group gathers inside to plan for their return to Hell, an enemy helicopter performs a close examination of the house. Homer shoots at and damages the helicopter, which retreats after dropping flares. The group barely escape with their lives, after a jet destroys the home.

That night, Ellie and Homer sneak back into town and find Robyn in her house. Lee has been wounded, and is being treated by Dr Clements (Colin Friels), the local dentist, who informs them that the invading forces are bringing in their vehicles and equipment from ships moored in Cobbler's Bay over the Wirrawee Bridge. After a brief skirmish with a pair of armed buggies, Robyn, Homer, Lee and Ellie meet back up at Corrie's home. They decide to return to Hell.

On the way they stop at a random house, and are greeted by school mate Chris, who is incredibly stoned and has no idea that a war is going on. Chris joins the group. They returns to Hell, with plans to use it as a secluded hideout where the enemy forces will not find them. While there, they hear a radio transmission revealing that Australia has been invaded by "The Coalition Nations" from nearby Asia, who believe that they have a right to the country's vast natural resources and wealth in order to sustain their growing populations. The transmission also reveals one of the three main ports being used to deposit soldiers into the country is nearby Cobbler's Bay, the only exit from which is the Heron Bridge, which the group then makes plans to destroy.

The group sneaks back to Wirrawee, and devise a plan to blow up Heron Bridge. Ellie and Fi steal a petrol tanker from the council depot. They park it near the bridge and, while waiting for the rest of the team to take their positions. After being discovered by guards, they rush to drive the tanker forward under the bridge. The plan necessarily brought forward, Homer and Lee scare a herd of cattle onto the bridge, forcing the sentry guards to flee their posts, allowing Ellie to park the tanker under the bridge unhindered. Working together, they manage to explode the tanker. Corrie however is shot in the back as the group escapes.

Despite certain capture, Kevin decides to drive Corrie, who is seriously wounded, to the hospital and remain by her side. The group return to Hell. Ellie then finishes her video log, revealing their ongoing guerilla war, the necessity to fight, and that they have not been found.

Produsen hardisk Western Digital (WD) mengumumkan ketersediaan jajaran produk terbarunya, yang ditujukan di kelas enterprise tradisional.

Kedua produk tesebut adalah WD S25 dan WD RE SAS 3,5 inch. Lini produk WD S25 mencakup hard disk berkapasitas 147 GB dan 300 GB. Selain itu produk tersebut dirancang untuk sistem server dan penyimpanan yang bekerja secara terus menerus selama 24 jam/hari dan 7 hari/minggu (mission-critical).

Untuk para OEM, WD juga mulai mengirim hardisk WD RE SAS 3.5-inci 7.200 RPM baru dengan antar muka SAS 6 Gb/s, yang menawarkan kapasitas 1 TB dan 2 TB.
